Wm Mengel and wife went to Oconomowoc Friday morning, called there by the death of Mr. Mengel’s father.

Miss Elva Gates, who has been teaching in the primary department of our schools during the illness of Miss Alexander, returned to her home at Neillsville Saturday. Miss Alexander resumed her work in the department Monday.

E. D. Murphy made a business trip to Phillips and Prentice last week, returning Saturday.

Mr. Christman went to Marshfield Tuesday.

T. B. Philpott is home on one of his occasional visits.

The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Blumenstein died Sunday evening.

One of Walter Nyman’s sons was quite badly hurt in the Ruplinger Stave and Heading Co’s mill Tuesday. His wrist and hand was caught in the heading turner-the flesh as taken off to the bones
