Miss Vivian D. Larson of Rice Lake, but who teaches at Springbrook, this state, arrived Wednesday evening to spend her Thanksgiving vacation with sister Helen.

Miss Minnie Glenzer spent her Thanksgiving vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Glenzer.

A large number of neighbors and friends of Mr. Theo. Schaffer gathered at his home on Thursday evening and helped him celebrate his birthday. A delicious lunch was served at 11 o’clock, after which the crowd took their departure acknowledging Mr. and Mrs. Shaffer as royal entertainers.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ebeling were tendered a pleasant surprise on Friday evening in honor of Mr. Ebeling’s birthday. The evening was spent at card playing and was immensely enjoyed by all.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sommers and daughters spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Marquardt.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Winkel and son Alex, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Olson of Colby, Wis.

Miss Minnie Glenzer spent Thanksgiving day with the Misses Helen and Vivian Larson.

Miss Helen and Vivian Larson spent Saturday at Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Buss Sr., left last week for Minnesota to spend Thanksgiving with relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Winkel, and Alex, motored to Marshfield Saturday to spend the day with friends.

Miss Vivian D. Larson who spent Thanksgiving at the Winkel home visiting her sister Helen, returned to her school at Springbrook Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rahn who left Tuesday for Chippewa Falls, where Mr. Rahn consulted a Doctor, returned home Saturday much improved in health.

Mrs. Richard Wiegman left Wednesday morning for Chippewa Falls where she was operated upon for appendicitis on Thursday morning. Latest reports are, she is getting along nicely.

Quite a number of married folks, also young folks form our vicinity, took in the dance at Curtiss on Saturday evening.

A number of ladies were entertained at 4 o’clock coffee, at the home of Mrs. Walter Balm on Wednesday afternoon.
