GREEN GROVE NEWS
Miss Anna Fakes, who is employed at Colby, spent Saturday evening with the home folks.
A great many people from other parts of the state have come to view the scene of the tornado destruction. Among these was Mr. Albert Krueger of Waukesha. Wisconsin.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Hame made a business trip to Greenwood Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Al Marquardt and daughter Doris spent Sunday with friends at Curtiss.
Mr. and Mrs. George Buss of Milan spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Buss.
A birthday party was celebrated at the Wm. Winkel home last Wednesday.
Practically everyone form this vicinity has visited the cyclone district, during the past week.
Miss Rosalie Merwin spent the week end with her mother, Mrs. E. Merwin at Abbotsford, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hennlich were in Colby, Wisconsin on business Monday.
A number of farmers of this vicinity gathered at the home of Richard Wiegman Sunday evening to discuss local affairs. Mr. Hutter and Mr. Leitzkie of Abbotsford were present.
Mrs. E. Merwin of Abbotsford visited with her daughter, Mrs. A. J. Hennlich Thursday and Friday.
A number of friends and neighbors gathered at the home of John Pribbernow to help him celebrate his 16 birthday Tuesday evening. During the evening, Erich Schauer, who was playing outside, jumped from the clover huller and had the misfortune of breaking both bones of his leg just above the ankle.
Mr. George Shainamen and Miss Clara Lemche of Wausau wre guests at the Fred Glenzer home Sunday.
Mrs. H. J. Cornelius of Abbotsford and Mrs. Carl Mundt of Colby called in Curtiss Friday evening.
Miss Almeda Blank, who is teaching near Abbotsford spent Saturday at the Henry Machlett home.
