Fisher, Heinrich Sr. (1 OCT 1857 - 17 JAN 1939)

Heinrich Fisher, Sr., died at his home at 9:30 on Tuesday morning. Death was caused by a cancerous tumor.

Mr. fisher was born in the Province of Hanover, Germany on Oct. 1, 1857. He came to America more than 50 years ago and lived near Perkinstown, Taylor County, for forty-five years, where he operated a large ginseng farm. From this occupation he retired a few years ago.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Henry Fisher of Perkinstown; four daughters, Mrs. S. Hilmeyer, Mrs. Anna Kloff, Mrs. Emilie Hessing and Mrs. Bertha Herzing; 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 1:30 at the funeral home of Pflueghoeft and Hartwig at Medford and at two o’clock at St. Paul’s Church at Medford. The Rev. Pfeifer will conduct the rites.

Interment will follow in the Perkinstown Cemetery with grandchildren acting as pallbearers.
