Ehlers, Bertha S (2 September 1855 - 27 March 1949)

Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Ehlers, 93, a resident of the Town of Eaton since 1901, were held Wednesday afternoon from the funeral home in Loyal and the Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emil Fabian, Greenwood, R1, on Sunday.

Mrs. Ehlers, nee Post, was born on September 2, 1855, in Germany, and was married there to Gustave Neuman, who preceded her in death. Her second marriage was to Frank Ehlers January 26, 1888, at Oconomowoc. He died in February 1939. Mrs. Ehlers came to Watertown from Germany.

Surviving are five children: Charles of Oconomowoc, Mrs. Clarence Fabian of Loyal, Mrs. Frank Pieper of Loyal, Alvin of Greenwood, and Mrs. Emil Fabian of Greenwood. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
