GRANTON Harold Leroy Herr, 87, of Granton, died Aug. 28, 2008, at his home.

Funeral services are pending with Cuddie Funeral Home in Loyal.

GRANTON Harold Leroy Herr, 87, of Granton died Aug. 28, 2008, at his home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Grace Baptist Church in Marshfield. Burial will follow in the Owen Mennonite Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, at W2151 Highway 10, one mile east of Granton, and from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Cuddie Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

WITHEE Emil E. Plautz, 83, of Withee died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, in the Palliative Care Unit of Saint Joseph's Hospital.

There will be private family graveside services at a later date at Riverside Cemetery.

Emil was born in Willard to Stephen and Mary (Popovich) Plautz. He married Margaret "Marge" Urbanz on April 15, 1950, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen. Emil farmed in rural Owen for 37 years. Retiring 17 years ago, Emil and Marge moved to the village of Withee.

Emil is survived by his wife, Marge Plautz of Withee; two sons, Randy (Chriss) Plautz and Terry (Linda) Plautz, all of Withee; two daughters, Colleen (Dennis) Wendt, Owen, and Kim Plautz, Chippewa Falls; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, George (Ellen) Plautz, Greenwood; and a sister, Rose (Frank) Pakiz, Greenwood.

Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family with private arrangements.
