LOST BULL IS FOUND IN STRAW STACK TUNNEL

The Holstein bull, which has been advertised in the Columbus papers by R. J. Callahan as "strayed" and lost for almost two weeks, sprung a big surprise on its owner one day last week when the hired man, Albert Behl, discovered the animal buried in a straw stack.

Mr. Behl was pulling straw form one end of a large stack when he heard a muffled noise resembling a male cow’s distress signal, and suspecting that the sound came from within the stack was investigated.

The animal was found at the end of the long tunnel in the straw.

The bull seemed glad to again see the light of day but was none the worse for his twelve-day confinement on a strict diet of dry straw.

If anything, his owner reports, he seemed to be fatter than at the time of his disappearance.

Mr. Callahan had made a systematic search of the neighborhood and had given the bull up for lost.
