Prokopinski, Edward Francis (21 December 1921 - 20 September 2008)

Edward Francis Prokopinski, Sr., age 86, of Spencer, died September 20, 2008, in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Spencer. The Reverend Charles Stoetzel will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008, from 4-7 p.m. at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Spencer. There will be a graveside service at the new St. Hedwig’s Cemetery in Thorp, WI on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 1 p.m.

Ed was born December 21, 1921, to the late Felix Prokopinski and the late Anna Paczkowski in the Town of Withee, in Clark County, WI. He attended the Posen School in the Town of Withee until eighth grade.

Ed worked as a cheese maker for the Blue Moon Dairy in Thorp and Randt’s Dairy in Loyal. He was also a farmer for most of his life.

Ed is survived by his children: Judith Jacobs, Stetsonville, Patricia Moyer, Mondovi, E. Frank (Rose) Prokopinski, Jr., Spencer and Cyndi (Daryl) Rumminger, Santa Clara, CA. He is also survived by one brother, Eugene Prokopinski, Garden City, KS. He is further survived by 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Leonard Prokopinski.
