Rohde, Edward Carl Frederick (23 March 1884 - 9 July 1949)

Funeral services for Edward C. Rohde, 65, R1 Greenwood, were held on Wednesday afternoon from the Rohde home and from the Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Interment was made in the Lutheran Cemetery. He died at his home on Saturday.

Edward Carl Frederick Rohde was born at Rubicon on March 23, 1884. On June 5, 1912, he was married at Loyal to Agnes Wehling, who preceded him in death October 11, 1931. He lived on a farm in the Town of Loyal from 1902 to 1912, when he moved to the farm in the Town of Beaver. There he resided until his death.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and for many years served as president of the Lutheran congregation. Pallbearers were all former members of the church council with which he served.

Surviving are his three children, Gilbert and the Misses Velma and Alice, all at home; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ernest Meier, Seattle, Wash.; and two brothers, Arthur, Mellen; and Earl, Devils Lake, N.D.
