Pflughoeft, Edith (Marriage - 13 August 1949)

Okauchee will be the new home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Oberholtzer following their wedding trip. The bride is the former Edith Pflughoeft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Seelow. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Oberholtzer of Oconomowoc.

The wedding occurred on August 13, 1949 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Alfred Schewe officiated. Bridal attendants were Miss Dorothy Pflughoeft, sister of the bride, Miss Donna Rae Kier of Eau Claire, Miss Winifred Maier of Milwaukee, Betty Jane Seelow, and Ardis Henning. Donald Neff and Donald and Irvin Marg were the groom’s attendants.

The bride’s long-sleeved bodice was of white nylon lace and her full colonial skirt was made of organza over white taffeta. Holding her finger-tip veil was a bonnet of white lace. The bridal aides were attired in green, orchid, canary yellow, and pink.

Dinner was served to 125 guests following the ceremony.
