Ystad, Hans #2 (6 JAN 1860 - 18 APR 1943)

Hans Ystad, who lived north of Greenwood, passed away at his home at 9:30 a.m. Sunday , Apr. 18. Born in Stenkjar, Norway, on Jan. 6, 1860, he came to this country in the spring of 1888. He married Jorgena Hembre, who accompanied him across in the fall of the same year.

Eleven children were born to this union, two of whom preceded the parents in death. Mrs. Ystad passed away on April 23, 1933. The following children survive: Mrs. Joe Hecker, town of Loyal; Mrs. Carl Sheets and Miss Ellen Ystad, Owen; Olaf Ystad, Mrs. Otto Goehring, Ralph Ystad and Hokon Ystad, town of Beaver; Mrs. Lyle Yentz, Arkansas, and Mrs. Frank Basele, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Twenty-nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive. Two sisters are living in Norway and one in Milwaukee, Mrs. John Wist.

The Tribune joins in extending sympathy to the bereaved.
