Larson, Delia L. (19 DEC 1893 - 5 AUG 1946)

The funeral services for Mrs. Peter Larson were held at Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.) Thursday, Aug. 8, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. A. E. Norson officiating. Burial was made in the Longwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Peter Larson passed away at the St. Joseph Hospital at Marshfield, Aug. 5, 1946, where she had been a patient for one year.

She suffered a stroke in February 1944, from which she partly recovered. In August 1945, she suffered a second stroke, after which she became an invalid. She was then taken to the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital and was a patient there until September, when she was moved to the home of her sister, Mrs. Leon Turner, in Clintonville, where she was cared for until December, when she became critically ill and had to be taken to the hospital. Death relieved her of her almost unbearable sufferings.

Delia Lenora Voie, daughter of Thorbjorn and Elene Voie, was born at Scandinavia Dec. 19, 1893, and had reached the age of 52 years, 7 months and 14 days.

The deceased was baptized and confirmed in the United Lutheran Church of Scandinavia. She was married to Peter Larson of Scandinavia Nov. 17, 1931.

They moved to Clark County and settled on a farm two miles west of Longwood, two years later they bout a farm a quarter-mile east of sided.

She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Louie Nelson (Emilia), Iola, Mrs. Selma Buck, Waupaca, Mrs. Leon Turner (Lizzie), Clintonville,, Mrs. Clara Olson, Chicago; three brothers, Willie Voie, Kaukauna, Elmer Voie, Evanston, Ill., and Otto Voie of Greenwood, her parents and two sisters preceded her in death.

The pallbearers were her nephews, Palmer Nleson, Edwin Nelson, Kenneth Buck, Clifford Buck, Jerome Turner and Emory Voie.

Those who carried flowers were Mrs. Karl Gollnick, Mrs. Godfrey Dyre, Mrs. Harold Dunn, Delores Buck, and Ardell Turner.

Those who came from away to attend the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Voie, Kaukauna; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Turner and family, Clintonville, Mrs. Selma Buck and daughter, Delores, Kenneth Buck, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Buck, all of Waupaca; Mr. and Mrs. Louie Nelson, Palmer Nelson, Edwin Nelson, all of Iola; and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Gollnick, Wautoma.
