Erickson, Jeanne (Marriage - 24 September 1949)

Miss Jeanne Erickson, daughter of Mrs. Florence Erickson of Merrillan, became the bride of Harry Rosenquist, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rosenquist of Withee, in a ceremony performed in Zion Evangelical Reformed Church here last Saturday afternoon by the Rev. N. J. Dechant.

The bride was given in marriage by her father-in-law to be. She wore a satin gown with a full skirt covered by a net with appliquéd satin leaves and a long train, and a fingertip veil fell from a crown of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white baby ‘mums.

Maid of honor was Miss Elaine Erickson, a sister of the bride, who wore a taffeta dress of pale green and a picture hat of taffeta and net. She carried a heart-shaped bouquet of yellow ‘mums.

Miss Dorene Erickson, another sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid. She wore a taffeta dress of orchid, a picture hat and carried a heart-shaped bouquet of yellow ‘mums.

All wore elbow-length gloves matching their dresses.

Junior bridesmaids were the Misses Dianne and Ardythe Epding, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Epding of Neillsville and nieces of the bride. They were attired in yellow taffeta dresses with large picture hats and carried bouquets of yellow baby ‘mums.

The groom was attended by Norman Gasse of Abbotsford, a friend of the couple, as bestman; and by George Waller of Merrillan. Ross Erickson, brother of the bride, was the ring bearer.

A wedding dinner was served to 65 guests at the Merchants Hotel following the ceremony, and a wedding dance was held that evening at the Silver Dome.

Out-of-town guests attending included: Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Olson and family, and Mrs. Dorothy Stolp and family of Merrillan; Mr. and Mrs. John Epding, Jr., of Tomah; Mrs. Helma Gibbs and Carole, Waukegan, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hause of Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zais of Stanley; Mrs. Florence Erickson of Merrillan; Mr. and Mrs. John Rosenquist of Withee; Viva Erickson and Arnold Meissner of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Jake Jaspers of Northwood, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Garshe of Chicago; W. Jack Fisher of Madison; Harvey Rosenquist and family of Withee.

Also in attendance were many friends and relatives of Neillsville and vicinity.
