Barski, Delores Marie (21 October 1939 - 27 September 2008)

Delores M. Barski, age 68, of Thorp, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 27, 2008. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2008, at St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin. Fr. Marion Talaga will officiate and burial of cremains will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., and at church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Delores Marie Bandach was born on October 21, 1939 in the Town of Thorp to Frank and Elizabeth (Pogodzinski) Bandach. She was raised on the family farm and received her education at Field School. After completing her education, Delores remained on the family farm and did housekeeping in the Stanley area. She was united in marriage to John Barski on November 4, 1967, at St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin. They farmed east of Thorp, where Delores was a homemaker and raised their daughter, Paulette. She resided on the farm until her death.

Delores was a member of St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church and enjoyed her farm animals, dogs and watching sports.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, John, of Thorp; her daughter Paulette (Gary) Henke of Thorp; two brothers: Joe (Karen) Bandach of Stanley and Ed (Vivian) Bandach of Chippewa Falls; one brother-in-law, Leon Przybylski of Thorp; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Valerie Przybylski.
