Mr. A. J. Morton has finished his job at Butternut, and has arrived home again.

There is some talk of putting up a grist mill here. That would please the farmers in this locality very much.

Mrs. S. A. Wilcox of Neillsville, and A. Benedict of Wilcox were callers here last Thursday.

W. H. Butler transacted business at the county capital last Tuesday.

C. E. Brooks, who is attending the Stevens Point Normal, spent last week with his family.

Miss Minnie Ketel will soon leave for California, where she will be a German instructor.

Ernie Lee is laid up with a sore foot.

Mrs. Maud Straton came up from Black River Falls last week to visit her parents and friends.

Kearney Davis took in Neillsville sights one day last week.

A large pile of bolts have been piled in Kemmeter & Gaertner’s yards to be converted into heading. In the Connor yards also at Beechler’s mill high piles of logs loom skyward.
