Morrow, Morton V. (1892? - 1 JAN 1947)
Monday afternoon at two o’clock, funeral services were read for Morton V. Morrow, 54, Spencer, and a former Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, at Spencer, from the Methodist Church. The Rev. Raymond J. Fleming, Marshfield, officiated at the final rites. Interment was made in the Spencer Cemetery.
Merton V. Morrow, a Soo Line engineer, was a resident of this community, owning and operating the Fremont Hotel until 12 years ago, at which time he sold his business interest and moved his family to Spencer when his railroad run was changed to the Ashland line.
While in Owen he and his family made a wide acquaintance of friends who share the sudden sorrow of the Morrow’s in his sudden death.
Death came suddenly to him on New Year’s Day when he suffered a heart attack after figuring in a highway accident near Marshfield. He was accompanied by his wife at the time.
