Stevenson, Elsie Thelma (Marriage - 26 November 1949)

Plan Wedding - Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Stevenson of Granton announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Elsie Thelma, to Clarence Jensen, son of Mrs. Ella Jensen, Marshfield R 3. The wedding is planned for November 26 at the Union Church in Granton.

Stevenson, Elsie (Marriage - 26 November 1949)

Miss Elsie Stevenson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Stevenson of Granton, became the bride of Clarence J. Jensen, son of Mrs. Ella Jensen of Marshfield, on November 26, 1949.

Rev. Virgil Nulton performed the double ring ceremony before 75 guests at the Union Church in Granton.

The church was decorated with bouquets of red and yellow roses and blue and white streamers.

Miss Stevenson, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a white moiré formal made by the bride. She wore a long veil, fashioned with a crown of seed pearls. Her bridal bouquet consisted of red roses, white carnations and yellow pom poms.

Miss Helen Kaudy of Wisconsin Rapids was maid of honor, Miss Dorothy Westphal, also of Wisconsin Rapids, acted as bridesmaid. They wore aqua gowns styled alike. The maid of honor carried a bouquet of yellow pom poms with white carnations. The bridesmaid carried white pom poms with yellow carnations.

Kenneth Jensen was best man and Reuben Jensen acted as groomsman. Both gentlemen are brothers of the groom and are from Marshfield. Lloyd Spry and William Schmidtke acted as ushers.

Mrs. Frank Tykac, Jr., sang "Because" and "The Lord’s Prayer." White wedding bells and blue and white streamers decorated the Community Hall, where a reception was held for 75 guests.

A dance was held later in the evening at the Granton village hall. The bride is a graduate of Granton High School. The groom is employed at the Roddis Plywood Plant. He spent three and one-half years in service, two years of which was spent in Africa.

Guests from out of town attending the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jensen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Jensen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Jensen, Mrs. Ella Jensen, Kenneth and Reuben Jensen, Miss Sena Jensen, Miss Martha Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Hendricksen, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jensen and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Jensen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tykac, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tykac, Jr., Mrs. Renatta Skoda and Mrs. Amelia Garbisch, all of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Jacobson and Vicki of Chili; Mr. Harold Ebbe of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Higgins and family, Mrs. C. H. Ristow, Mrs. Robert Ebbe, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Kaudy and Helen, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Westphal and family, Miss Olga Ebbe, all of Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Buchanan of Vesper; and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Faske and daughters of Augusta.
