Pranger, Beverly P. (4 March 1935 - 11 October 2008)

Beverly P. Pranger, 73, of Shawano, formerly of Neillsville, passed away early Saturday morning, October 11, 2008, at Manorcare of Shawano, where she had been a resident for the past two months.

Beverly was born March 4, 1935, in Ojibwa, a daughter of the late Harry and Evelyn (Harvey) Wheelock.

She attended school in Loretta. Following school she was united in marriage to Thomas Wortman in Janesville Following their marriage the couple moved to Germantown.

Beverly had been employed as a machinist at the Amron Company in Waukesha. She later moved to Radisson where she owned and operated Bev’s Bear Trap Bar for over 15 years. She later married Sonny Pranger in Bruce. He preceded her in death in 1987. Beverly has been retired for the past 20 years.

Survivors include four sons, Michael Wortman of Neillsville, Mark (Shelly) Wortman of Radisson, Carl (Patricia) Wortman and Russell (Jill) Wortman, both of Dousman; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Nathan (Becky), Jodi, Brandon, Carissa, Kasey, Hannah and Paige Wortman; and one great-granddaughter, Erin.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Wheelock; three sisters, Audrey Babcock, Lois Bissell and Margie Ryan.

Funeral services for Beverly are scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2008, in Winter. Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service (www.schroedeermickelsonfuneralservice.com) of Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
