Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) relatives and friends of Mrs. J. D. Hunt of Stanley, were shocked when they learned of her suddenly passing away after a two day illness last Friday. Funeral services were conducted Monday from the Plombon Funeral Home and the Lutheran Church. She was interred in the Oakland Cemetery at Stanley.
Mrs. Hunt, nee Jean Myhre, was born on June 28, 1924, in Owen. All of her early life was spent here where she gained a wide circle of friends, as she also did at Stanley, when her parents moved there. Jean was the possessor of a wonderful personality and a cheerful disposition and will be sadly missed by her many friends.
Surviving her are her husband and eight month old son Stevie, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Myhre, and one brother.
Relatives attending services outside of Stanley were Jack’s mother, Mrs. Hunt of Dallas, Texas, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Welker, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Welker and children, Mr. and Mrs. Art Wolfram and daughter Gloria, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Welker, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Welker, all of Owen, Mrs. Douglas Legault of Washburn, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Bjorklund and son Dale, and Mrs. Elmer Adolphson of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Ivar Myhre of route 2, and son Dennis and daughter Phyllis of Madison; M. M. Myhre and children and Mrs. D. Arp of Amery.
