Hennlich, Evelyn (5 APR 1947)

The Congregational Church at Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), beautifully decorated with Easter lilies, jonquils and cut flowers, served as the setting for lovely wedding ceremony which united Miss Evelyn Hennlich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, wearing a white gabardine suit, aqua blouse and black accessories,a nd an aqua hat of off the face style. Completing her bridal attire was a shoulder corsage of pink carnations and roses. During the bridal procession, Mrs. Leland Smiley played Loghengrin’s wedding march. During the ceremony Joyce Merwin sang two vocal selections, "Because" and "The Lord’s Prayer."

Attending the couple were Emily Hennlich, maid of honor, a sister of the bride, who wore a pink suit of her own design and creation, with a fishtail style, jacket and black accessories. The bridesmaid, Jean Wanke, the groom’s sister, wore a green suit and black accessories, and both had a corsage of pink carnations.

Attending the groom were his cousin, Robert Hennlich of Milwaukee, and a brother-in-law of the bride’s George Edwards.

Late that afternoon a dinner was served to 60 guests at the home of the bride’s parents, which was appropriately decorated for the occasion with streamers of pink, green and white. Tall tapering white candles and a large three tier wedding cake adorned the head table. At 11 p.m. a reception was held, at which more than 100 friends and relatives of the newlyweds offered them their congratulations and best wishes for a happy future home life.

Since yesterday the couple have been at home to friends at their home at 7489 North Port Washington Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The bride graduated from the Owen High School class of 1940, and that fall entered the Hollywood Beauty School at Appleton, after which she was employed forelady, Milprint at Milwaukee for five years. The bridegroom is also a graduate of the Owen school system, graduating with the class of 1942.
