Essex, Eddie E. (17 APR 1941 - 20 JUL 1943)

Eddie Edgar Essex, 2, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Essex of Eau Claire, was born in Loyal on Apr. 17, 1941. He lived here with his parents until last Nov. 5, when the family moved to Eau Claire.

His death occurred when he was struck by a train while sitting on the edge of a railroad tie with his brother near their home early last Tuesday evening.

Although "Little Eddie," as he was often called, had lived but a few short years, his sweet ways and unselfish disposition had endeared him to all who knew him and the news of his tragic death filled their hearts with sorrow.

He is survived by his parents, one brother, Billy (3), and one sister, Judy (1), of Eau Claire; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Essex and Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Colby, of Loyal; and his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Colby, of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Essex, of West Lima, Wis.
