THORP — Clara Williams, 88, of Thorp, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Thorp. Burial will follow in Sylvan Cemetery, rural Thorp.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Thorp Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

THORP -- Clara Williams, 88, of Thorp, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the Thorp Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Clara was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Oglesby, Ill., to Frank and Anna (Nowak) Fillipeck. She married Dewey Williams on June 16, 1941, in Neillsville. They operated the family farm until their retirement. Dewey died Feb. 27, 1993. Clara moved to Thorp in 2005.

She is survived by four children, Rollin (Kathy) Williams, New Berlin, Shirley Williams, Thorp, James (Diane) Williams, Willard, and Darrel (Meg) Williams, Thorp; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
