Hubing, Arthur F. (14 February 1893 - 28 August 1970)

Funeral services for Arthur F. Hubing, 77, of Neillsville, who died August 28, were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. William Dushek officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mr. Hubing was born February 14, 1893, to Nicholas and Mary (Pautz) Hubing in the Town of Grant, and there received his education. He married the late Lucile Davis on June 7, 1924, in Menomonee, Mich. She died September 23, 1960. Mr. Hubing farmed in the Town of Grant until his retirement in 1969, when he moved to Neillsville.

Survivors include: three children: Wendell, of Granton, Mrs. Larry (Artice) Babka of Black River Falls and Bradley of Stoughton; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Coppins of Fort Atkinson, Mrs. Celia Root of Knowles and Mrs. Herbert (Marie) Halstead of West Union, Ia.; two brothers, Charles and George, both of Neillsville; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Calvin Gerhardt, Ronald Gluch, William Vine, Duane Peterson, Gerald Schafer and Richard E. Raebel. Ellis Wall sang, “He Leadeth Me” and “Have Thine Own Way,” accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

People attending from out-of-town included: Wendell Hubing, Kathy and Steve, Mr. and Mrs. William Vine and Arnold Garbisch and Mrs. Carol Schlinsog, all of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Babka and family and Mr and Mrs. Robert Brauner of Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Hubing, Tod, Tim and Troy, of Stoughton; Mr. and Mrs. Warren Cater, Mrs. Celia Root of Knowlton; Mrs. Clara Coppins of Fort Atkinson; Mr. and Mrs. William Lowe, Sr., Mary Jane Lowe, Mr. and Mrs. William Lowe, Jr., of Waukesha; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Westphal of Milwaukee; Mrs. Larry Kraker, Mrs. Gene LaRowe, Mrs. William Dekkar and Mrs. Helen Hubing of Circle, Mt.; Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Nelson and Colleen Nelson of Watertown; and Mrs. Wealthy Tyrrell of Wisconsin Rapids.
