Prior, Allan R. #2 (8 NOV 1930 - 21 OCT 2008)

Allan R. Prior, 77, Loyal, died on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Loyal United Methodist Church. Military rotes were conducted by the Loyal American Legion Post 175. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.

Allan R. Prior was born on Nov. 8, 1930, in the town of Loyal to Calvin and Irene (nee Pratt) Prior. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict from October 1952 until his honorable discharge in August 1954. He married Christine Bauman and they later divorced. He also married June Lloyd Curtis on Aug. 25, 1979, in California. He had farmed for several years and then was employed at land O’Lakes in Spencer from 1974 to 1994.

Survivors include his wife, June; his children, Debbie Prior (Gary Aga), Loyal, Mark Prior, Abbotsford, Dean Prior, Cadott, Beth Prior, Florida, Kyle (Leanne) Prior, Loyal, and his stepchildren, Douglas (Pam) Lloyd, Arizona, Carla Degenhardt, Spencer, Carroll (Zelda) Curtis Jr., Greenwood, Chester (Kathy) Curtis, Eau Claire, Cheryl Curtis, Stanley, Cathy (John) Aumann, Granton, Pam Curtis (Mike Schneider), Hewitt, Lisa (Brad) Zepplin, Loyal, and Sandy (Troy) Curtis, Ashby, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; 16 step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and 11 step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Polly Everett, San Jacinto, Calif., and Wilma (Delton) Jolivette, Marshfield.
