THORP -- Frank Edward "Red" Hodorowski, 84, of Thorp died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at Oakbrook Health and Rehabilitation in Thorp.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery.

Frank was born Dec. 30, 1923, to Albert J. and Mary Ann (Musial) Hodorowski in the town of Withee, rural Thorp. He was united in marriage to Amelia Wink at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, in Thorp, on May 8, 1948. They bought a farm in August 1949 in the town of Reseburg and farmed until 1985, when illness struck Frank and he became disabled. When his health improved, and with his son Marvin's help at boosting him up on the tractor, Frank drove tractor for field and harvesting work.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Amelia of Thorp; his three sons, Donald Hodorowski, Jerry (Shirlee) Hodorowski and Marvin Hodorowski, all of Thorp; five grandchildren and one great-grandson; and one sister, Pauline Zielanis, Thorp.
