Loeffler, Anna Lena (4 June 1860 - 14 April 1950)

Mrs. Anna Loeffler, 89, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frieda Gluck, 237 South Hewett Street Friday, April 14, 1950.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at the Georgas Funeral Home and at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Alfred Schewe officiated. Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Anna Lena Schoenfuss was born in Germany June 4, 1860. She came to the United States when a young girl and landed in Baltimore. She came to Clark County and made her home with an uncle.

In August, 1889, she was married to August Loeffler at Granton. They operated a farm there for 44 years. After Mr. Loeffler’s death in 1933 she came to Neillsville and made her home with her only child, Mrs. Freida Gluck.

Beside her daughter she is survived by the following grandchildren: Mrs. Arthur (Emma) Olson, Wausau; Mrs. Kurt (Aleda) Radtke, Wausau; Oscar Gluck, Neillsville; Mrs. Walter (Edna) Hemp of Wisconsin Rapids; also ten great-grandchildren.

Three sisters and eight brothers preceded her in death.
