Meyer, Joseph (1861 - 22 May 1950)

Joseph Meyer, 89, died at his home on West Sixth Street early Monday morning of old age complications.

Rosary services were held at the Bergemann Funeral Home Tuesday evening at 8 p.m.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 24, at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father John J. Pritzl officiating. Interment was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Mr. Meyer was born in 1861 at Arcadia, Wis. He spent the greater part of his life farming and retired 22 years ago. On February 1, 1885, he was married to Alvina Beilke at Neillsville. Three children were born, all of whom survive. They are William J. Meyer, and Leo Meyer, both of Loyal, and Mrs. Elsie Lambert of Neillsville. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Regina Shude, of Detroit, Mich.

His wife, three sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
