Zimmerman, Berdine P. (3 Dec. 1924 - 13 Nov. 2008)

Unity, Wis. -- Berdine P. Zimmerman, 83, of U1994 County Road K, Unity, Wisconsin, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at the Marshfield Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at Calvary Bible Church, Marshfield. The Rev. Craig Conner will officiate and music will be provided by organist Connie Koopman, pianist Lana Ellis and vocalists Dan and Cara Mook and Grant and Melissa Reckner. Burial will take place in Beaver Cemetery in the town of Beaver, Clark County. Serving as pallbearers will be Grant Reckner, Kevin Boyer, Eugene Prien, Harold Boyer, Tom Weis, Steve Weis. The visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday at Calvary Bible Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mrs. Zimmerman was born Dec. 3, 1924, in Unity, the daughter of Herman Carl and Lela Erma Alvira (Hoops) Molle. She attended Sunshine School in the town of Unity and Unity High School. She and Emanuel L. Zimmerman were united in marriage Dec. 15, 1942, in Riplinger. He died Nov. 5, 2008.

Berdine had been an active member of the United Methodist Church, Dorchester, for many years where she had served as a Sunday school teacher. She and her husband farmed in the town of Unity for 65 years. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening and her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Paulette (Ken) Reckner, and a son, David Zimmerman, all of Marshfield. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Cara (Dan) Mook and Grant (Melissa) Reckner; and by nine great-grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Jordan, Joelle, Jonathan and Jaydon Mook, and Nicholas, Derek and Taylor Reckner. She is further survived by a sister, Darlene (Eugene) Prien of Colby, Wis.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and a sister, Juanita Boyer.

Memorials may be designated in her name to Calvary Bible Church, Marshfield or to the United Methodist Church, Dorchester, Wis.
