Funeral services for Wayne G. Pope of Plover, Route 1, a former resident of Colby, Wisconsin were held Saturday afternoon in the Moore Funeral Home in Stevens Point. Burial followed in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Mr. Pope was born in Manawa on August 28, 1903, and, as a boy, moved with his parents to Lind Center, in Waupaca county, and then to Colby in 1913. He married Clara Fitense at Marshfield on June 20, 1931, after which they lived in Colby until 1936 when they moved to Appleton where they remained until 1947 and then moved onto their present farm. Surviving are his wife and two sisters.
