Hammer, Esther (6 NOV 1943)

At 11 o’clock Saturday, Nov. 6, Miss Esther Hammer of St. Paul became the bride of Mathody Buhl, 311 North Concord, South St. Paul. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hammer, 337 East Winnifred street, St. Paul, and the groom is a son of Mrs. Agnes Buhl of Browerville, Minn.

The bride dressed in a light blue suit with soldier blue accessories to match, was attended by Marcella Maye, a friend, who also wore a light blue suit with soldier blue accessories. Both wore corsages. The bride wore gardenias and sweetheart rosebuds, and the bridesmaid wore baby pompoms and carnations.

Donald Buhl, a cousin of the bridegroom, was the only other attendant. Both the groom and his attendant wore brown tweed suits, with boutonnieres of white carnations.

After the ceremony, the couple had a 4 o’clock reception at the home of the bride’s parents. The home was decorated in light blue, white and pink, with a large wedding cake as centerpiece, with four candles on each side.

Mrs. Buhl is a graduate of Loyal high school, class of 1942, and for the past year has been employed at the Minnesota News Co.

After a short trip, Mr. and Mrs. Buhl wick be at home to their friends at 453 East Page street, St. Paul.

The Tribune extends to the newlyweds its wishes for a happy wedded life.
