Lehtinen, Charles (14 OCT 1883 - 17 NOV 1947)

Charles Lehtinen, aged 64 years, passed away suddenly when stricken with a fatal heart attack while at work in the Owen City Garage Monday morning. He suffered the attack at 7:15 a.m., shortly after having reported to the garage for work. He had been a city employee for the past several years since having retired from farming about five years ago. Since that time he had resided in a home he purchased at the north city limits of the city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.).

Charles Lehtinen was born in Finland on Oct. 14, 1883. He was unmarried and his only relatives reside at Waukegan, Ill., where his remains were sent for burial. Final rites were conducted for him at Waukegan, where his sister and family reside.

Prior to moving to Owen he successfully opeated a farm northeast of the city for a goo many years. As a city employee he won the respect of all the city officials for his faithful and dependable service.
