Awe, Virginia June (Marriage - 10 June 1950)

Virginia June Awe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Awe of Owen, became the bride of Victor Perman, son of Mrs. Dan Perman of Greenwood at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 1950. The double ring ceremony was performed at the parish house in Owen by the Rev. Raymond Bombach in the presence of 100 guests.

The dress of the bride was of white slipper satin, with Peter Pan collar, lace trimmed, finger veil, the dress fashioned with a train. The bridal bouquet was of white Esther Reeds, lilies of the valley, gardenias and orchids.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Laurence Christopherson. Bridesmaids were Margaret Perman, sister of the groom, and Donna Gale Berger, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Laurence Christopherson of Eau Claire. Groomsmen were William Denk, and Gale Shirley of Farmington, Minn., a cousin of the bride.

The wedding reception and dinner were given at the community hall in Owen.

The young couple is taking a trip through the east.

The bride is a graduate of the Withee High School and is employed in the office of the Western Condensing Co. at Owen. The groom is a graduate of the Greenwood High. He is now taking a course in veterinary surgery at the University of Minnesota. He spent two years in the navy.
