Franz, Virginia (Marriage - 1950)

The Loyal Methodist Church was the recent scene of the wedding of Miss Virginia Franz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Franz of Greenwood and Richard Gerald Acker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Acker of Greenwood.

The bride was gowned in a dress of white bridal satin, featuring sleeves that were pointed at the wrists. The bodice was decorated with nylon lace and the full skirt extended into a long train. Her imported veil fell from a crown of beads and rhinestones and she carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Bridal attendants were Mrs. Lyle Verhulst, Loyal sister of the bride, as matron of honor, Barbara Barriet, Owen, and Mrs. Richard Miczlozjk, Milwaukee, sister of the groom. They wore yellow, orchid and pale green gowns. The groom was attended by Lyle Verhulst, Theodore Acker, brother of the groom, and Paul Franz, brother of the bride.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Greenwood High School.

They are residing on the farm of the groom’s parents near Greenwood.
