Henninger, Carol (Marriage - 10 June 1950)

Miss Carol Henninger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Henninger of Granton, and Harlan Howard Hughes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hughes of Iowa, were united in marriage by Dr. Roberts, at Buena Presbyterian Church of Chicago on June 10, 1950.

The bride was gowned in white embroidered organdy, ballerina style dress, with a short veil and lace mitts. She carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley.

Miss Betty Wolfe of Chicago, a friend of the bride, was her only attendant. She was attired in a yellow net over taffeta dress, with yellow net mitts and a rose bud and net head dress. Her bouquet was of pink roses.

Sheldon Hughes was his brother’s attendant.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School with the class of 1944. Since then she has been employed in the office of the A. B. Dick Company in Chicago.

The groom will continue his schooling at Chicago University this fall, working for his master’s degree in architecture. After a brief honeymoon at a Wisconsin resort they will reside in Chicago.
