Hansen, Marian (19 JUN 1948)

Marian L. Hansen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Hansen, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), exchanged wedding vows with Roy Ammentorp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Evald Ammentorp, Withee, in a lovely ceremony performed in the First Congregational Church, Owen, Saturday afternoon at two o’clock, June 19, 1948. The Rev. Myron Glick read the nuptial ceremony.

The bride wore a gown of white satin with long sleeves pointed at the wrist, a carved neckline bordered with lace edged train. Her fingertip veil had a queen Ann cap with a coronet of orange blossoms. Completing her attire she wore her sister’s wedding veil as something borrowed. Two sisters of the bridegroom Amy Ammentorp and Mrs. Marion Haas of Thorp as bridesmaids, were dressed in blue. Their flowers were white and blue tinted carnations. The bride’s sister, Mrs. Dorothy Roberts, was matron of honor in a yellow ninon gown and hat. She carried a bouquet of yellow carnations.

During the ceremony Harriet Marking sang "Because" and " I Love Your Truly." Accompanying her at the organ was Miss Katherine Zivney. Both of the young ladies are close friends of the bride.

Both Mrs. Hansen and Mrs. Ammentorp, mothers of the couple, wore sheer summer print dresses and corsages of white roses.

Attendants for the groom were Lester Hansen, Withee, best man; Henry Haas, Thorp and George Sorenson, Withee, ushers.

The bride is a graduate of the Owen High School and for the past five years has been employed at the Allis-Chalmers plant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The groom attended the Withee High School and since his discharge from the navy and has been attending school in Milwaukee where the couple will make their future home.
