Price, Catherine (27 Mar. 1885 - 30 July 1934)
Funeral services were conducted this morning at St. Thomas Catholic church, Milan, for Mrs. Stephen Price of Milan, who died suddenly Monday afternoon at St. Joseph’s hospital, at Marshfield, where she had apparently recovered from an operation performed July 14 for the removal of gall stones. Embolism was the cause of death.
Father Urban Baer officiated at the funeral rites and the following six nephews of Mrs. Price acted as pallbearers: Foster and Jerome Will, Marcellus, Cornelius and Vernon Foster, all of Colby, Wis. and Roger Riley of Owen. Burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.
Mrs. Price was formerly Miss Catherine Foster, and was born in the town of Colby, March 27, 1885. At the age of 16 she went to Milwaukee, where she was employed until her marriage to Mr. Price, August 30, 1918.
Surviving besides Mr. Price, are three children: Francis Wallace Price of Park Falls, and Antoinette and Eugene, at home; three brothers, Alvin of Colby, Walter of Milwaukee and Elmore of Merrill, and three sisters, Mrs. Jack Hobelsberger, Marshfield, Mrs. Joseph Will of Colbyand Mrs. Patric Riley of Owen.
It was while Mrs. Price was preparing to leave the hospital to go to the Hobelsberger home that she suffered the fatal heart attack.
