Beaver, Sylvia I. (Marriage - 1950)

Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer was the recent scene of the wedding of Sylvia I. Beaver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Beaver, and Jack N. Pickett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pickett of Spencer.

The bride chose for her wedding a gown of white marquisette over satin, fashioned with a lace trimmed bateau neckline, fitted bodice and long sleeves that came to points over the wrists. A tiara of seed pearls held her finger-tip veil of imported French illusion edged with rhinestone studded lace. Her bridal bouquet consisted of roses.

Miss Jane Searvagel, as maid of honor was dressed in aqua taffeta. The bridesmaids, Miss Audrey Pickett, sister of the groom, and Miss Shirley Shupe of Marshfield, wore orchid dotted Swiss.

Attending the groom was Edwin Dagenhardt, a cousin of the bride, as best man, and Robert Spry and Virgil Seefeldt, as groomsmen. Bernard Beaver, Jr., brother of the bride and Wayne Seefeldt, cousin of the groom, ushered.

They will reside on the farm of the groom’s parents near Spencer.
