Sherwood (15 Oct 1970)

There was an overnight trail ride Saturday and Sunday from the Al Cramer farm. There was a large crowd in attendance and the ride through the colorful Sherwood countryside was enjoyed by all. Next year we are hoping for a larger crowd.

Special services were held Sunday evening in the Sherwood Community Church. Rev. and Mrs. Fred Witt of waterloo, Ia., were guest evangelist and soloists.

Sunday dinner guests at the Charles and Ivan Schwanebeck home, honoring the birthdays of Vickie Schwanebeck and Wendy Wilde, were Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wilde and family of Cedarburg, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hasz and family of Lynn, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Schwanebeck and family.

Weekend guests at the Chester Freedlund home were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Carlson and boys, Mrs. Teckla Carlson and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Freedlund and children, all of Rockford, Ill.

Rev. and Mrs. Fred Witt of Waterloo, Ia., were weekend guests at the Francis Jacobson home. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Riedel called there Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jacobson and family, Hazel Ritter and Theresa Jackson spent Thursday in Madison.

Gladys Ziemendorf and Mrs. Raleigh Frost went to Baraboo Monday to see Mrs. Betty McConnell who is a patient in the hospital there.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wilde and children were weekend guests at the Charles Schwanebeck home.

Fred Ortel, Ray Johnson and Jerry Brown of Pittsville, George Florence and Fred Heath spent Saturday in La Crosse.

Mr. and Mrs. Milden Schwanebeck and family spent the weekend visiting friends in Winsted, Minn. They also went to Minneapolis to the municipal airport and the Como Park Zoo.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schwanebeck and Lori and Joanne Mortenson of Rockford, Ill., spent the weekend at the Paul and Milden Schwanebeck homes.

Mr. and Mrs. Milden Schwanebeck and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schwanebeck attended the Silver wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Elvon Engelman in Wisconsin Rapids Sunday evening.
