Kaucnik, Louise #2 (18 AUG 1948)

A quiet double ring matrimonial ceremony attended by only immediate members of the family was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vancle Kaucnik at two o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 18th, 1948, when their daughter Louise became the bride of Thomas B. Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Miller, whose address is Route 2, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).

The Rev. L. C. Bundgaard, pastor of the Nazareth Lutheran Church of Withee officiated at the solemn rites.

For the occasion the bride wore a suit of Alice Blue and white accessories and a white corsage. Her attendant, Phillis Wilkins, a very close friend, also wore a suit of light grey with white accessories and a white shoulder corsage. Attending the bridegroom as best man was his brother, J. Edward Miller.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents.

The newlyweds left later that evening on a five day honeymoon through northern Wisconsin’s lake region.

The bride received her schooling in school systems in Ohio and Owen. The bridegroom is a graduate of the Withee High School.

Tonight the couple are enjoying a wedding dance given them at Merry Ol’ Gardens. They will make their home on the farm of the groom’s parents.
