Lautenbach, Richard L. "Dick" (7 April 1934 - 17 November 2008) With Flag

Richard L. "Dick" Lautenbach, 74, of Wisconsin Dells passed away Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center following an eight-year battle with Lymph Cystic Leukemia.

He was born April 7, 1934, in Granton, the son of Oscar and Catherine (Seltric) Lautenbach. Richard was united in marriage Oct. 30, 1954, to Idelle Schier in Granton. This marriage was blessed with four children. Dick was employed as the unit administrator with the Army National Guard, Trp E 105th Cav for 38 years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed hunting and reading. Dick will be remembered for his love for his family and his willingness to always be there when needed.

Dick is survived by his wife, Idelle of Wisconsin Dells; daughters, Lois (David) Morris of Reedsburg, Deborah (David) Gudenschwager of Hillpoint and Fay (Robert) Nault of De Forest; grandchildren, John (Carla) Pretsch, Aaron, Brittany and Brandon Peper and Megan Nault; great-grandchildren, Jenna, Julie and Joann Pretsch; very special brother, Dale (Rose) Lautenbach of Wisconsin Dells; and numerous nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Ricky Nov. 28, 1975; two brothers, Ralph and Don; and two sisters, Elaine and Beatrice.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at St. John’s Ev Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Marsha Swenson officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home and on Thursday from noon until the time of the service at the church.

The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
