Doberstein, Dorothy #2 (12 NOV 1948)

Miss Dorothy Delores Doberstein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Doberstein, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride Friday of Ervin F. Clarkson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Clarkson, also of Withee. The Rev. Mr. Krause, Stetsonville, performed the 1 p.m. ceremony in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Withee.

Miss Audrey Nelson, Medford, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Patsy Schoenfeldt, cousin of the bride, Marshfield, and Ruth Mathias, Medford. Shirley Doberstein was junior bridesmaid.

Lester Clarkson, Withee, was his brother’s best man. Other attendants of the groom were Carl Anderson, cousin of the groom, Dorchester, Robert Doberstein, brother of the bride, and Donald Clarkson, brother of the groom, both of Withee, and Earl Emmerich, Medford.

Rae Ann Doberstein, Dorchester, cousin of the bride, was flower girl, and ring bearer was Jerry Doyle, Medford.

A long train fell from the fitted bodice of the bride’s gown, which had a yoke inset with lace and long tapered sleeves. Her fingertip veil was attached to a pearl and rhinestone headpiece and she carried a bouquet of pink and white mums.

All of the bride’s attendants wore similarly styled gowns of blue, rose, yellow and Nile green taffeta with peek-a-boo hoop skirts. Mums were in their bouquets.

The couple were feted at a reception and supper at the home of the bride’s parents.

Both the bride and groom attended Medford High School.

Until spring the couple will live on the Clarkson farm. Then they will move to Beach, N.D., where the groom is employed.
