The chapel at Madison College in Tennessee was the scene of a beautiful candlelight wedding service on Thursday evening, Dec. 23, 1948, when Verle Anna Hamel, daughter of Mrs. Courtland Hamel of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) became the bride of Harlan M. Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy M. Brown of Eureka, Calif.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the college dining room for about 200 guests. After a short honeymoon to Wauchula, Florida, the young couple will make their home at Madison College in Tennessee.
