Colby, Wis. - Jan. 9, 1958

Mrs. Peter Beyerl Sr. returned home from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital.

Mrs. William Koffarnus is receiving medical treatments at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Godfred Nystrom spent Sunday at Holcombe with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Felbaum.

Mrs. Albert Podevels underwent a major operation at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hilber and family were supper guests Saturday at the Robert Wilde home.

A son was born on December 31 to Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Rachu of Colby, Route 1, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital.

Jack Goodwin returned home Saturday after spending Christmas vacation on the farm with his uncles at Loyal.

Mrs. James P. Wilde Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. James P. Wilde Jr. were dinner guests Sunday at the John Anderson home.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wiersig and two children of Two Rivers spent the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wiersig.

Joe Brill, Joe Sazama and Warren Berg, in the US Army stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., returned to camp after spending their furloughs at their respective homes.

Mrs. Wm. C. Pacholke and daughter, Yvonne, spent New Year’s Day at Wausau with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. F. Pacholke and family.

Joseph, Walter and Francis Elpert of Loyal were New Year’s Day dinner guests at the home of their sister, Mrs. Ida Goodwin, and family.

Arnold Fink returned to Concordia College, St. Paul, after spending his Christmas vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fink.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sossaman and children of Muskego arrived in Colby Tuesday for a visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Sossaman and Mr. and Mrs. John E. Anderson.

Twin girls were born to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lyons of Milwaukee January 4. Mrs. Lyons is the former Suzanne Steinwand, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Steinwand of Colby, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zassenhaus, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Lamont and family and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dietsche attended funeral services for Mrs. August Fricke, *** Note: The remainder of this article was missing.
