Olson, John P. (4 Feb. 1860 - 17 Dec. 1934)

John P. Olson, 74, who for the past 45 years has made his home in Abbotsford, died of bronchial pneumonia Monday at his home here.

Mr. Olson was born in Port Washington Feb. 4, 1860. He lived at Port Washington until 24 years of age, later spending some time in the Dakotas and Minnesota, coming to Abbotsford a few years later. He was married in 1890 to Augusta Tesmer of Colby, Wis.

Mr. Olson held several town offices and was assessor of the Village of Abbotsford at the time of his death.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 2:30 from the residence and at 3 o’clock from the Christ Lutheran church with the Rev. Brandt officiating.

Pallbearers were Nick Wibben, Fred Kramer, Fred Lenhardt, Edwin Hoeft, Gust Hoeft and Clarence Gusse.

Mr. Olson is survived by his widow and three daughters: Mrs. Charles Emiling, Granton; Mrs. Ed. Feit, Unity and Miss Laura Olson who is living at home.
