The Happy Hustler Homemakers met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Harlan Brux for a 6:30 supper, followed by a meeting conducted by Mrs. Brux. Miss Louise Keiner and Mrs. Adolph Abel were appointed on a committee to send recipes for stuffing and dressings for the Christmas newsletter to Mrs. Garwin Schrimper. Mrs. Eugene Carteron reported five cakes were baked the last month for the birthdays of residents of the Clark county Home for the Aged. Miss Louise Keiner gave a report on the activities of the Clark County Council for retarded children. The lesson on “Keeping in shape nutritionally” was given by Mrs. John Zepaltas and Mrs. Harlan Brux. The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. November 18 at the home of Mrs. John Kaltinger. This will be an organizational meeting.

The Come and Know Homemakers met Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Ernest Elmer. The current lesson was presented by Mrs. Leonard Olson and Mrs. Tom Elmer. The next meeting will be held November 17 at 1 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Arthur Turnquist. Two pieced quilts will be tied for social work donations.

The West Side Homemakers meeting was held Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Garwin Schrimper, following the microwave demonstration held at the Clark Electric building which the club members attended. Mrs. Herman Krause and Mrs. Stew art Finkle were guests. The next meeting will be held November 17 at 1 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Henry Keller. Mrs. Kenneth Hium will give the health lesson and Mrs. Henry Vollrath the lesson on “Keeping in shape nutritionally.”

The Salem Aid met Tuesday in Zion United Church. Mrs. Vernon Lust presided. The program was on “What the Bible says about God and His World.” A lunch was served by Mrs. John Seibold and Mrs. Clayton Braun. The next meeting will be November 17 at the Zion Church. Hostesses will be Mrs. Adolph Wessel and Mrs. Ida Horn.
