Dux, Betty Rose (18 March 1938 - 30 October 1970)

Mrs. Frederick (Betty) Dux, 32, of Rt. 3 Neillsville died Friday, October 30, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services were held Monday, November 2, at 1:30 p.m. from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

The former Betty Rose Meier was born March 18, 1938, in Granton, to Arthur and Bessie (Rizner) Meier. She lived for a time in Crystal Lake, Ill., where she attended school for five years. She returned to Neillsville where she completed her education.

On July 28, 1956, she was married to Frederick Dux in Neillsville, where they lived until the time of her death. For the past year she had been employed by the Schultz Bros., Co. Mrs. Dux was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by four children, Steven, Mark, Lorianne and Brian, all at home. She is further survived by her mother, Mrs. Bessie Meier, Neillsville; two sisters, Mrs. Gayle (Annette) Schoengarth and Mrs. Judith Zank, both of Janesville; and three brothers, Arthur J. Meier, Crystal Lake, Ill., and Ronald Meier and Raymond Meier, both of Neillsville.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frederick (Betty) Dux, 32, who died October 30, were held on Monday, November 2, at 1:30 p.m. from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

“The Lord is My Shepherd” and “Asleep in Jesus” were sung by Mrs. Janice Mayer, accompanied by Victor Lehmann. Pallbearers were Ed Tresemer, Louie Henchen, Earl Smith, Norman Poppe, Ervin Knoop, and James Vincent.

People from out-of-town who attended the service included: Mr. and Mrs. Art Meier and family, Crystal Lake, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Schoengarth and family, Mrs. Judith Zank and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Dux, and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Bartz, all of Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. George Rizner, West Allis; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Beyer, Stoughton; Mrs. Dave Winters, and Albert Meihak, Fort Atkinson; Mr. and Mr. William Meier, Jr., Tomahawk; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rizner, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rizner, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rizner, Jr., both of Tomah.
