Elvin W. Martin, 1, Christie, died on Monday, Nov. 3. 2008. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m., on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at the pine Grove Mennonite Church, Granton. Clair Horst officiated with the assistance of Paul Wesley Oberholtzer, Ervin Showalter and Willard Brubacker. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Calvin Martin, Jonathan High, Harlan Weaver and James Weaver.

Elvin W. Martin was born on Feb. 25, 2007, in Neillsville, to Lester K. and Carolyn O. (nee Weaver) Martin. He lived with his family on a farm, in Christie, until his death.

He will be sadly missed by his parents, Lester and Carolyn Martin, Christie; his brother, Joel W. Martin, Christie; his maternal grandparents, Nelson W. and Esther W. Weaver, Colby; his paternal grandparents, Lester H. and Mary N. Martin, Loyal; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
