Rinka, Sharon L. (25 JUL 1946 - 15 NOV 2008)

Sharon L. Rinka, 62, Loyal, passed away at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal. The Rev. James Logan officiated. Burial will take place in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Sharon Lee Shupe was born on July 25, 1946, in Milwaukee, to Donald Lee and Marie Ann (nee Bablich) Shupe. As a young child, her family moved to Loyal, where she raised and received her education, attending Loyal High School. She married Vaughn Seeman in 1964. They later divorced. She owned and operated the CITGO Gas Station, Loyal, from 1978-83. She then moved to Black River Falls where she worked at Moe’s Hardware Store for six years. She returned to Loyal in 1992. She married Peter S. Rinka on June 1, 1996, in Loyal. She worked for 12 years at Hardware Hank (currently Loyal Farm and Home Center) in Loyal. She was a very energetic and people-loving person who enjoyed her flowers and being outdoors. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, and the Loyal American Legion Auxiliary where she worked at the Legion Steak Feed for the past four years.

Survivors include her husband, Peter, Loyal; one son, Todd Seeman, Arpin; one sister, Shelly (Dennis) Stein, Altoona; one brother, Michael Shupe, Phoenix, Ariz.,; two grandchildren, Trent and Travis Seeman; five stepchildren, Tammy (Marcello) Fontana, Singapore, Steve (Holly) Rinka, Valley Village, Calif., Allan (Katie) Rinka, Osseo, Kathy (Jason) Griepentrog, Eau Claire, and Paul Rinka, Loyal; five step grandchildren; one niece, Kelsey Stein; one nephew, Matthew Stein; other relatives and many friends.

Preceding her in death were her father on Sept. 8, 1965, and her mother on April 3, 1997.
