Earle, Phyllis (17 MAR 1906 - 10 MAR 1947)

Mrs. Allan E. Earle, the former Phyllis Pawelek of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), died suddenly at her home at Janesville, Monday evening March 10th, 1947. She suffered a heart attack while eating dinner.

Mrs. Earle, the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Pawelek of Thorp, was born in Chicago, March 17, 1906. She came to Thorp with her parents when a child and after graduating from the Thorp High School took up nursing at the General Hospital at Wauwatosa. She practice her profession until her marriage April 11, 1929 to Allan E. Earle. They lived in Wauwatosa 14 years. Mrs. Earle was floor supervisor at the Mercy Hospital during World War II at Janesville, Wis., where they located in August 1942.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Patricia Mae and Joan Elizabeth, both of Janesville; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Pawelek of Thorp; four sisters, Mrs. Ralph Roensch, Milwaukee, Mrs. Clemons Kwapy, Oconto, Mrs. Leonard Titus, San Mateo, Calif., and Mrs. Frank Swenson, Akron, Ohio; three brothers, Dr. Stanley Pawelek, Baltimore, Md., Allen, Tokyo, Japan, and Richard Pawelek, Stanford University, California.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Church at Janesville on last Thursday morning and interment was made in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
