Colby, Wis. - Mar. 13, 1958

Andrew Arends returned to his farm home after spending 12 days in the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Jensen of Glidden spent Monday at the James P. Wilde Sr., home.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Schmidt of Colby, Route 2, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital March 10.

A son was born at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Max Ramker of Colby, Route 1, on March 9.

Mr. and Mrs. Godfrid Nystrom are spending the week in Chicago buying merchandise for Emilie’s Dress Shop.

Mrs. Ernest Miller is visiting in Minneapolis at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ray H. Schmidt.

Miss Barbara Bender, attending Stout Institute at Menomonie, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bender.

Jerry Block of Chicago spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Block. Jerry is attending DeVry Technical College at Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Draeger returned to their home in Colby after spending several months in Oshkosh with their son in law and daughter.

Nick Heindl of Abbotsford and William Sedlack of Colby are attending the State Mutual Insurance Company meeting in Green Bay this week, Wednesday and Thursday.

Arnold Fink of Concordia College, St. Paul, Minn., has completed the winter quarter of work at Concordia and is spending the spring mid-qaurter vacation with his parents at Colby, Wis. Classes will be resumed on March 17 at which time he will return to St. Paul.

Army Pvt. Carl H. Theilig, age 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Theilig of Colby, Route 1, recently was assigned to the 11th Airborne Division in Germany. Theilig, who arrived overseas in January of this year, is now a rifleman in Company C of the division’s 505th Infantry.
